SPRING FASHION WEEK 1999
WATCH THIS SITE FOR EXCLUSIVE PICS!

As home to some of Australia’s hottest design talent, premier retailers and most elegant shopping precincts, Melbourne is poised to showcase the best Spring Summer looks over seven days. Whether it be Roy, Immune, Victoria Loftes, Saba or Princess Highway, the contemporary collections of retailers Collins 234, Jacqui E and Portmans or the elegance of the ‘Paris End’ Collins Street retailers, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week embraces fashion from all aspects, and takes it to the people.

"The Tent" will once again become fashion headquarters, as over 100 retailers and designers present their Spring Summer ranges in daytime and evening shows throughout the week. Running parallel to the shows in the tent, will be the huge schedule of fashion events happening all over Melbourne City, from exhibitions in galleries and studios to industry talks, walks and workshops.

Now in its fifth year, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week is intended to celebrate and highlight the new season’s collections, giving everyone a chance to experience fashion first hand. Presented by Melbourne Convention & Marketing Bureau the event is proudly sponsored by StreetLIFE a Victorian Government Business Initiative and the City of Melbourne. Thanks to a host of generous support from our sponsors, not only are most events free, but what you see on the professional runway is the fashion you can purchase in store.

So ‘fashionistas’ beware, rest your feet now because from September 13-19, you will be running all over town getting a jump-start on your Spring Summer wardrobe.
